INHA University in Tashkent hosted a conference of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan # MITCROADMAP2018 on May 22, 2018.
Important parts of the Roadmap for improvement of information and communication technologies system for 2018-2019, problems and prospects for development of the ICT industry, IT education, and interaction between the state and business were discussed during the event.
Head of MITC Azim Ahmedkhadzhayev told about the present and future of ICT sector in Uzbekistan. He presented the new corporate style of the Ministry to the conference participants, announced the name of the new Internet IT channel and presented a new strategy for the development of E-government system - SMART Government Uzbekistan.
The head of Uzbektelecom JSC Farhod Roziev informed the public about the national operator transformation. The company has 7-month plan for the implementation of important long-awaited projects, such as the expansion of the international Internet site by 10 times.
The number of conference participants exceeded 400 people. They involved representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in our country, ministries, departments, business community, mobile operators, Internet providers, residents of Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center, gifted students of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy and Inha University in Tashkent. Representatives of the public - journalists, specialists in the sphere, as well as other indifferent citizens of the country who registered on a specially created page on the website of MITC actively participated in the event.
There was also an interesting question-and-answer session where speakers answered all the questions.
