In accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 25, 2019 No. 08 / 109-419, the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan implements the project “Digital CASA - Uzbekistan” (Project), financed by the World Bank.

The project focuses on regional aspects of the development of digital communications and digital infrastructure, data storage and processing centers, platforms and smart solutions, as well as competence centers. The main focus of the project is the telecommunications sector, including the acquisition of an international channel to improve regional communication and increase throughput, improve communication in rural and remote areas, create an enabling environment for digital transformation, develop digital innovation, digital entrepreneurship, and introduce smart programs cities, smart solutions through data management.

As part of the preparation of this project, the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan developed the “Framework Document for the Management of Environmental and Social Measures” and the “Framework Policy for Resettlement”. These documents in Russian and English are published for discussion and consultation.
